Hello my name is David Turner I am a remote full stack web development contractor. While serving Booz Allen Hamilton I contributed to websites such as USASpending.gov, and ECPIC.

I have worked with many technologies and currently specializes in Node js, C#, and React, standing up full websites. I also have a rich history of solving intense logical problems and understanding the basics of object-oriented programming giving me the ability to deliver new solutions to unsolved problems.

Experience

Senior Web Developer

Booz Allen Hamilton

While at the firm I aligned to three projects as a full stack software developer:

USASpending.gov - Data visualizations (D3.js) including the Sunburst, featured on D3.js website as an example. And the soon to come Colleges & Universities page

The Department of Labor - SQL database administrator handling all OCIO contract and acquisition spending information and data visualizations.

General Services Administration - Serving as full stack .NET developer on eCPIC (now Folio). Here I learned and followed a very strict scrum agile development life cycle, and obtained a PMI-ACP.

July 2015 - Present

Senior Web Developer

Holman Automotive Strategic Ventures (contract)

Truly a language agnostic development environment where new technologies are put to the test monthly. Majority of work is API work. Standing them up and architecture, while simultaneously building front end apps for customers.

January 2018 - January 2019

Junior .NET Developer

Medimmune (an Astrazeneca Company)

Very autonomous work here. The year contract here consisted of writing services for all lab machines to read and store output data. Then setting up a server and sql server to store the data. Then writing a .Net application that the scientist could access the information through and auto generate documents to send to the FDA and other agencies to show lab results.

July 2014 - July 2015

Objective C developer

Innovative Solutions and Support

Developed production code for the wheels and tires modules of both the Eclipse 2.7 and Pilatus PC-24 air planes (Objective C, Open GL).

Also developed a simulated test environment for the production software of the planes in .NET windows forms applications.

I gained foundational experience here learning and developing in objective C, and learning to live debug hardware has given me a foundation to learn new laguages very fast.

Unrelated to career, I love to mod motorcycles and ride. I have three children and I am a big kid myself so we spend a lot of time playing sports and finding fun places to go.
